Why is it that so many people these days try so hard to be popular and make a million friends? Some people even transfer schools and leave all their old friends just to go make more friends.
Why so eager to leave your old friends? Not good enough for you? Oh, you’ll “visit” a lot anyways.
My point: The value of friendship has gone down.
“Friends” used to be people you can trust, people you look forward to seeing everyday, people that are there for you when you’re down. Now “friends” have been reduced to tools to gain “popularity”.
Seriously, I was explaining to someone that has more “friends” than me, that he/she had more friends than me because I don’t choose quantity over quality of friends. I’d rather have one real friend than a hundred ”friends” that barely know me.
What’s the point? But you know, whatever. “Love”, “friendship”, “beauty”, “morals”, it’s all different nowadays. Society changed, and nothing is like how it used to be, I guess we’ll all just have to live with that.
